Overcoming fear while surfing can be challenging, but it’s not impossible. In this post, I share 10 things I would do to conquer my fear of the ocean and enjoy surfing. From practicing lap swimming to finding a local surf group, this is what I would do.
#1 Only surf near Lifeguards #2. Only surf in waist-deep water. #3. Only surf when others are nearby. #4. Practice my lap swimming! #5. Surf on "nice weather" days. #6. Take a few lessons #7. Buy a Boogie Board and have fun on that for a little while #8. Watch tons of YouTube episodes about learning. #9. Find a local surf group on Meetup or other social apps. #10. Check the next 49 tips!!!
Repeat.
